Coach's Comments:

After making the long trek up to Kingston the team came up against some very tough teams. They guys battled inconsistent passing and hitting all day.
Adam Orth and Spencer Gee gave the guys a big lift in the final match to help keep the team in Tier 1.
The team is hoping to perform much better at the next tournament to earn a high seed at provincials.

What a Day!!
After getting off to a slow start during the very first set of the tournament the team rallied to begin a great day. As a team the boys continued to improve on their defence by setting some solid blocks.
Andy McWilliam and Andrew Ross lead a solid attack from the left side for the team all day. Also, Justin Scapinello and Jordan Timpany had a great day serving by hitting some very tough spots. The boys seemed to struggle playing with a lead in the second set and hopefully they can fix that in future tournaments.
The coaches would like to congratulate the boys on a great day and wish for continued success in Tier 1.

Welcome back TJ
The boys played much better defence as a team this weekend. The team played extremely well during pool play to finish in 1st place.
TJ Sanders returned from an injury to provide solid leadership and great setting. Bryan Duquette stepped into a new role as a server for the team and was very effective.
In the repool the team came up against two strong teams. The boys looked tired and we did not finish the day as strong as we started. Hopefully we can continue the strong defensive effort heading into the tournaments in January.

Great Start
The boys developed a lot in their first tournament as a team. The players got used to playing with each other throughout the day.
We were really happy with our result against some really good teams such as the U18 Pakmen and U18 MAC team.
Evan Bradley improved a lot over the course of the day as the setter.
Hopefully we can build on this experience.
