Coach: Dave Bellehumeur
Playing Experience
In 1984, I was asked to play on my high school senior boys’ volleyball team because they needed a 6th guy. I didn’t understand why anybody would want to play this sport when there was basketball. But they needed one more guy! Then I went to Ottawa University which still doesn’t have a men’s team. I was getting my Phys. Ed. degree, and kept playing in different leagues and tournaments. Then I started coaching…a lot. Then I had kids. I kept playing in tournaments and PUC. “Something has to go!” (Karen Bellehumeur, 1994). Quit playing in 1994….but I coach more then before!
