Playing Experience

Coach Buckman played her high school volleyball at Oakridge Secondary School and went on to play 5 years at the University of Ottawa for the nationally-ranked Gee-Gees. She also played at the club level for Kineldiego (precursor to the Forest City Volleyball Club) and participated in summer Regional and Provincial teams.

• Club: Coach Buckman has coached girls teams at all age levels in the Forest City Volleyball Club, primarily as an assistant to Jane Peckham. This is her 6th season coaching with the Forest City Volleyball Club.

Special Achievements and/or Championships won:

Coach Buckman is especially proud of last year's Girls Under 16 Green team that finished a hard-fought 4th at last year's Tier 1 Provincials. As a player, Coach Buckman has won Provincial medals at the high-school, club, Regional, and University levels, and an Eastern Canadian Championship at the Senior Women's club level. With the University of Ottawa, Coach Buckman was honoured to be selected as team captain, as well as to receive both Provincial and National all-star recognition.
